Long term care insurance allows an individual to protect their assets due to an illness or injury requiring some form of constant care. It takes the burden of care away from their family members, and gives them choices and control they may not otherwise have.

Long-term care describes a variety of services offered in the areas of health and personal care for a person suffering from chronic illness, a serious accident, age, frailty or a cognitive disorder such as Alzheimer’s disease. Long-term care can include nursing home care, home health care, respite care and/or adult day care.
